Another three points in the bag for Darlo to keep the pressure on fourth placed Hereford.
This performance maybe wasn't as good as the second half against Brentford, but maybe if Quakers had scored a second goal before half time, then they would have been able to relax.
As it turned out, Pawel Abbott's seventh goal of the season was enough to give us our third successive win, although Chester were justifiably furious about an incident in the build up when Ryan Valentine cleaned out Chester's Kevin Ellison with a sliding tackle, but instead the assistant gave us a throw in. Julian Joachim crossed the ball into the middle, and Pav scored with a looping header from twelve yards. Tongue in cheek afterwards, manager Dave Penney said: "I didn't see the incident, the assistant referee was in the way!"

Guy Ndumbu-Nsungu's hopes of scoring in his sixth successive game for us were denied by the foot of the post early on and Jason Kennedy put a good chance wide when he was clean through as Quakers put some good football together.
Chester, who sacked manager Bobby Williamson a couple of days before the match, had more spirit about them in the second half, and David Stockdale did well to hold on to a low shot from Kevin Ellison, and skipper Steve Foster pulled off a last ditch tackle to deny Chris Holroyd.

But on the other hand, Darlo could have scored more in the second half, with Micky Cummins forcing a good save out of the Chester keeper, while Abbott also blasted into the side netting from an acute angle.
Darlo are now four points clear of fourth placed Hereford going into Saturday's game at Wycombe, and one point behind second placed MK Dons on the same games.
