 2 - 0
Date:

Venue:
Adams Park
Attendance:

Referee:
R Lee
From the moment David Stockdale suddenly stopped his warm up and rubbed his back, you had the feeling that it wasn't going to be Darlo's day at Adams Park on Saturday.
Stockdale received treatment and pulled off several good saves in the ninety minutes, but most of his team mates were below par. Quakers only managed one notable effort in the game, but while they remained a goal down, they always had a chance of getting back into the game.
Manager Dave Penney started with a 4-3-3 formation with Bryan Hodge replacing Micky Cummins in midfield, but Quakers never really gained control of the game, and they struggled against the pace and strength of the Wycombe attack.
Stocky pulled off a good block from Matt Bloomfield early on game, but he had no chance on 24 minutes when former MK Dons player Leon Knight beat him with a perfectly executed overhead kick into the bottom corner of the net from twelve yards out - to be honest, we would have raved about it if one of our lads had scored it.

But the Darlo fightabck didn't really materialise. Too often moves broke down because of a poor pass or loss of possession, and Stockdale pulled off four good saves, two in particular at the start of the second half when Darlo switched to 4-4-2 from Leon Knight and Andy Woodman.
Darlo nearly got back into the game when the ball dropped for sub Rob Purdie outside the box, but he fired just wide of the post.

After 85 minutes, Steve Foster proved that he is human after all when Scott McGleish dispossessed him on the edge of the Darlo box and sidefooted in the deciding second.
