Injury hit Darlo climbed into the automatic promotion places over Hereford with a valuable point at Underhill.
For a few minutes, it looked as if the match might have to be postponed because of floodlight failure just as the referee was about to start the game at the scheduled kick off time of 7.45, but after some swift repairs, the game started half an hour late.
Nevertheless, the unexpected return of Tommy Wright - not for the first time this season he's played when he needn't have done - gave Quakers a boost, and it was Tommy who nearly scored the winner near the end. Tommy formed a striking partnership with Julian Joachim, as three other strikers were out because of injury, and another because of suspension.
The two teams cancelled each other out in the first half, although Barnet striker Kieran St Aimie almost caused a problem with an overhead kick that went a couple of yards wide of David Stockdale's goal.
In the second half, Tommy nearly grabbed the glory when he got to the edge of the box, but his right foot shot was deflected just side of the post, and midfielder Jason Kennedy inches wide wit ha long range effort.
Barnet nearly won it near the end, when Cliff Akurang's header from six yards out flew wide of the post, but a draw was a fair result - and also lifted Darlo's confidence after the Bradford City defeat..
"We were back to defending well, which was a big plus, but we couldn't nick a goal despite having a lot of the ball," said manager Dave Penney.
