New signs sit proudly on the side of the Darlington Arena declaring the stadium's new name to be The Northern Echo Darlington Arena.

The stadium was re-named following an exciting partnership agreement between Darlington Football Club and the Northern Echo.

The two organisations will join forces in a concerted effort to raise the profile of the football club, stimulate ticket sales and increase awareness of the non-matchday events and facilities at the fantastic stadium.

The Northern Echo will be instrumental in supporting DFC with its season ticket promotions and future events.

Christine Balford, commercial director at Darlington Football Club said: "I am proud and excited to be working with the Northern Echo. I appreciate that the stadium has had several different names in the past but I believe that this agreement with the Northern Echo is the start of a mutually beneficial and long-term working relationship."
