New chairman Raj Singh and new managing director Graeme Fordy revealed tonight that Quakers are just one step away from coming out of administration.

The fans' forum in the Ron Greener Suite at the Northern Echo Arena - around 100 fans attended - was told that the legal adviser to the Football League, Nick Craig, and chief operating officer Andy Williams have written a report to the Football League Board recommending that Darlington FC 2009 should be issued with the golden share, which allows the club to compete in the Football League.

The next step, which is the formal approval of the issue, should take place in the next few days.
