There will be a pitch inspection at Darlington's Northern Echo Arena at 9.15am tomorrow (Saturday December 19). Volunteers will be needed urgently if the game pitch gets the go ahead (i.e. it's not frozen).
The Quakers take on Northampton Town at home tomorrow (3pm kick-off), providing the snow can be cleared tonight and the pitch gets the go ahead in the morning.
Staff, fans, youth team players and the groundsman have been working tirelessly all day to remove snow from the pitch, and with just under half of the snow to shift, it's going to be a long night!
The club still want fans to volunteer their services tonight, and after the pitch inspection in the morning. Free tickets are on offer for anybody who helps out to get the game on.
An announcement will be made as soon after the inspection as possible. With your help, the game will be on!
Work on the pitch for tonight has finished - however, we will require even more volunteers if the pitch inspection says the game can go ahead if the rest of the snow is moved.
Check back here in the morning to see if the game is on, and get yourself along to the Arena to help shift the snow.
Thanks to the volunteers who turned up tonight!
