Darlington's Coca-Cola League Two game aganst Northampton today was this morning postponed after the surface was deemed unplayable.

Staff and volunteers worked all day and night yesterday to clear snow off the Northern Echo pitch to give the game a chance, but to no avail.

Overnight temperatures dropped which caused areas of the pitch to freeze.

Darlington would like to again thank all the volunteers who helped out yesterday, particularly supporters.

Details of the rearranged fixture will be announced in due course.
