DARLO SIGN SCOTTISH MIDFIELDER

Posted on: Tue 02 Mar 2010

DARLINGTON have today completed the signing of Scottish midfielder Ross Chisholm.

The ex-Hibernian and Shamrock Rovers midfielder, 22, has joined the Quakers until the end of the season.

Irvine-born Chisholm began his career with Hibs and made 47 league and cup appearances for the Edinburgh club before being released last summer, when he joined Shamrock until the end of last year, playing 12 games in the League of Ireland.

Boss Steve Staunton said: "Ross has been training with us for a few weeks and he's a clever little ball player. He has a sweet left foot and can pick a pass with a killer ball, which is vital in League Two where it's difficult to break down defences. He'll be a useful addition to the squad between now and the end of the season."

Clearance only came through for Chisholm today so he is not available for tonight's home game against Port Vale at the Northern Echo Arena, but he should be available for the game against Torquay United at home this Saturday.a
