Darlington head to Bury this evening looking to avoid a sixth straight defeat.

Quakers were beaten by Torquay United at the weekend and will be hoping for better this time around when they travel to the Shakers. Bury are well placed in League Two but have not won for three games.

Manager Steve Staunton will be hoping for some better fortune this time around. Speaking on Saturday he felt his side was unlucky to be beaten.

"Football can be a cruel game and it is being cruel to us at the moment," reflected Staunton. "I cannot believe we were two down at half-time because we had all the play and some of our football was good

"I thought we played some of our best football of the season, and I would rather we conceded another goal in trying to get back into the game than let our heads drop.

"Credit to the players for the way they are keeping going. We dominated for most of the game and it was only in the last 10 minutes when we had to push forward more and more that Torquay had a spell of pressure."

Darlington could hand a start to Andrew Milne who recently rejoined the club. Gary Smith and Patrick Deane could also be pushing starts. However defender Richie Byrne is struggling with a hamstring problem.
