KEEPING UP APPEARANCES

Well-known comedian Gareth Hale comes to Darlington next week for a six-day series of shows at the town's theatre.

Hale, one half of popular 80s and 90s sketch show Hale & Pace, features as Onslow in the star-studded production at Darlington Civic Theatre next week.

Hyacinth Bucket (pronounced 'bouquet') is joined by sisters Rose and Daisy, slobbish brother-in-law Onslow, nervous neighbour Elizabeth and her brother Emmet in a hilarious mimic of the popular TV show.

Also starring in Keeping Up Appearances is Kim Hartman ('Allo, 'Allo) as Elizabeth, Steven Pinder (Doctors, Brookside) as Emmet, Debbie Arnold (EastEnders) as Rose, plus the brilliant Rachel Bell (Darling Buds of May) as Hyacinth and featuring David Janson ('Allo, 'Allo, Keeping Up Appearances) in a surprise role.

Onslow

The show runs from next Monday (July 12) through to next Saturday (July 17). Showtimes are 7.30pm, with Thursday and Saturday Matinees at 2pm.

Tickets are priced £17-£24.50, while discounts are available including 20% off on first night and Saturday matinee.
