SUPPORTERS’ TRUST BACK QUAKERS AGAIN

Posted on: Sat 28 Aug 2010

Darlington Supporters' Trust have given the Quakers its much-needed support for the 2010-11 season with continued sponsorship.

The Trust have sponsored the dugouts at the Northern Echo Arena as well as Mark Cooper's training kit this season.

They've also sponsored Craig Liddle's youth team page in the club's matchday programme.

"This is part of our continuing support for the club and amounts to a significant amount of money," said Supporters' Trust vice-chairman Paul Hodgson.

"But the board felt worthwhile to assist in this way. We continue to have an excellent working relationship with the club, which is great for both parties, and hope that continues."

Quakers boss Mark Cooper said: "We appreciate this support by the Trust, it really is very well received.

"I'm aware of what the Trust is all about, I've been told about its background and why it was set up, so for them to sit in the background and make these donations while the club is in safe hands really is an added bonus and brings much-needed funds to the club."

Head of youth Craig Liddle added: "It's common knowledge that the Trust has long been big supporters of the youth set-up and, as usual, their help this year is yet again a huge help. They know how much we appreciate it."
