Peterborough United appear set to make changes following their poor showing at Rotherham last weekend. Former Tottenham Hotspur reserve team captain Charlie Lee is hoping to make his first team start against Chesterfield after a solid performance in a recent Posh reserve outing however the player is simply looking to define himself a position.

"Luckily I'm quite a versatile player, I can play centre back or central midfield, and I don't mind which so long as I get a chance to play. I like the physical side of the game, which I think is good for this league. I always give 100% and go in for the tackles, you have to, you can't shy away from them," Lee said.

Elsewhere in the division Bradford City have suffered a setback in their search for new players. Bantams manager Stuart McCall has been told his number one target is not for sale. McCall was looking to do a deal before the transfer window closes at the end of the month but his options have decreased a little with the latest news.

"The manager concerned was undecided at first if he was going to be in his plans. But at the moment it looks as though he is going to be part of their first team," said McCall. "It would have been nice to get the boy in but it's not to be because he is doing well. But we will keep tabs because you never know. We are not totally shutting the door and maybe it will be different by January. Things can change."

Bradford are currently preparing for their latest Coca-Cola League Two game against Wrexham who today received the news that Silvio Spann had been granted a work permit to take him through to the end of a three-year contract in the summer of 2010. The permit has been faxed across to Silvio in Trinidad and he will now book an appointment with the British High Commission to have his passport stamped up with the necessary visas.

"I'm delighted for the player," was manager Brian Carey's response to the news this morning. "He has had a difficult pre-season travelling from club to club in search of a contract, but I know he feels at home with Wrexham and he has certainly set his heart on playing for us. Hopefully we will have him with us at some stage over the weekend, then he can start training in earnest with the team next week."

Finally Wycombe have been fined by the Football Association for their poor disciplinary record in the league last season. Paul Lambert's side have been fined £5,000, with a further £5,000 suspended, for picking up too many yellow and red cards. Loan players Anthony Grant and Tommy Doherty were both sent off twice during their spell at the club. Additionally Stefan Oakes, Will Antwi, Ricardo Batista and Jermaine Easter were also shown red cards.
