Tommy Wright returned to Darlington in summer 2010, signing a two-year contract at the Northern Echo Arena.
The striker exercised a clause in his Grimsby contract which allowed him to leave Blundell Park after he'd signed an 18-month deal with the Mariners in January.
Wright, who previously spent a season at the Arena and scored 19 goals from 58 games in 2007-08, joined Grimsby from Aberdeen, where he'd joined from the Quakers in a £100,000 deal in August 2008.
Wright has also previously had spells with Walsall, Barnsley, Blackpool and Brentford after beginning his career with hometown club Leicester.
