Young goalkeeper who left Darlington in 2009 returned to the club on trial on the eve of the 2011-12 season.

Pocklington was a product of the Quakers youth set-up but left the club midway through the 2008-09 season.

He had a brief spell with Newcastle Benfield in the Northern League first division before signing for his hometown club, Newton Aycliffe, in March 2010, and helped the club win the Northern League second division title last season and promotion to the top flight.

Pocklington impressed Quakers boss Mark Cooper in a pre-season friendly at Aycliffe's Moore Lane Park ground and has taken the shot-stopper in on trial.
