Striker Tadhg Purcell signed for Darlington on a one-month loan deal on September 14.
The popular Irish forward, who scored nine goals in 22 games for Quakers during a six-month spell in 2010, completed his loan move from League Two Northampton Town.
Purcell was signed by Steve Staunton in January 2010 on a six-month deal, along with midfielder Gary Dempsey. He was one of very few silver linings for Quakers during a forgetful season.
The Dubliner had previously spent three years with Shamrock Rovers, scoring 30 goals in 112 games, and his record with Darlo attracted the attention of a number of clubs, with Northampton offering him a two-year deal.
But injury plagued his first full Football League campaign, limiting him to just four appearances last season.
