Russell rejoined the Quakers in summer 2010 after spending the 2009-10 season with Wrexham, and ended the season with a clean-sheet at Wembley in the FA Trophy final.
The Middlesbrough-born shot-stopper began his career with his hometown club but couldn't make a breakthrough with the Teessiders and after a loan spell with Darlington in 2002-03 he joined the Quakers permanently in 2004, playing more than 100 games in three seasons at the Arena.
He left for Rochdale in 2007, playing 46 games for Dale in two years, before moving on to Wrexham.
